Maileg's intricately designed world is rooted in fairytale and whimsy, with princesses and peas, and bunnies that wear clothes. Founder Dorthe Mailil, a Danish designer and illustrator, and her husband Erik founded Maileg in1999, to create a world of creatures that all get along, even cats and mice, and that can be collected and cherished for generations to come.
The well known Maileg rabbit dressed up as a ballet dancer. It wears a suit and tulle skirt and has a small decoration around the pointing ears.
