Niwaki- Winter Gloves
When the days get chillier and the night are drawing in, there's nothing less you want to do than prune the garden, but with these fleece lined, waterproof gloves from Niwaki, there's no need to worry about getting out in the cold. Whilst they're great for winter gardening, do still be careful with thorns, they will likely penetrate the waterproof coating.
The number sizing is how many centimetres you have across the middle of your hand, where the joints of your little finger and forefinger meet the palm. If you're in between, Niwaki recommend going to the next size up.
Niwaki translates from Japanese to English as 'garden tree'. Niwaki's founder, Jake, travelled to Japan in the late 90s to explore the cherry blossoms there and draw inspiration from them, intending on a career as a sculptor. He was instead fascinated by the tools that were used to prune and shape the gardens of Japan, and his focus shifted towards bringing those to our western gardens, having spent a year working in a rural plant nursery near Osaka. Niwaki's tools are designed and made to last a lifetime, and have the highest functionality possible.
