These carbon steel secateurs are just as great for pruning as they are for cutting stems for floristry. They're drop-forged, meaning from the tip of the handle, to the end of the blade, there's no joins for them to come apart over time, unlike those with wooden or plastic handles. The heavy steel can be sharpened to maintain the condition of the blades, and an extra spring is included too.

Niwaki translates from Japanese to English as 'garden tree'. Niwaki's founder, Jake, travelled to Japan in the late 90s to explore the cherry blossoms there and draw inspiration from them, intending on a career as a sculptor. He was instead fascinated by the tools that were used to prune and shape the gardens of Japan, and his focus shifted towards bringing those to our western gardens, having spent a year working in a rural plant nursery near Osaka. Niwaki's tools are designed and made to last a lifetime, and have the highest functionality possible.
