Bergs Potter

Born out of a war depressed Copenhagen, the Bergs family set out to bring colour and life back into their neighbourhood, and we’re drawn to the heritage and craftsmanship behind the brand. Still family run today, Bergs Potter has spent decades refining terracotta pots designed to support healthy plant growth.

Made by hand in Tuscany using traditional methods, their terracotta plant pots combine Danish design with Italian craftsmanship, and work just as well indoors as they do in the garden.

Bergs Potter at Hortus

Bergs Potter combines Danish design with traditional Italian craftsmanship to produce a range of terracotta plant pots and planters. Made in Tuscany using high quality clay, each pot is fired at high temperatures to create a durable finish while remaining porous enough to support healthy root development.

The natural properties of terracotta allow air and moisture to move through the pot, helping regulate soil conditions and creating a stable growing environment for houseplants and outdoor planting alike. Over time, the pots develop a natural patina that adds to their character.

The collection includes a range of classic shapes and sizes, from small indoor plant pots to larger outdoor planters suited to patios and gardens. Their simple forms and warm tones work easily across both traditional and contemporary spaces.

At Hortus we like Bergs Potter for its balance of function and design. The pots are well made, long lasting and genuinely beneficial for plant health, while the timeless shapes make them easy to use throughout the home and garden.
