That's because it's made from an innovative material called ficonstone, formed by mixing cement, crushed stone, sand and fibreglass. This UV and frost-resistant material is both sturdy and lightweight, making this planter easy to move around the garden to create new displays. Its interesting textured surface and organic shape blend in well against a patio or rockery backdrop, and its bottom drainage holes help protect sensitive roots.

hortus was initially created as a shop window for our garden design and construction services, whilst also allowing us to indulge our passion for beautifully designed products. Independently owned by Julia Keen and Brian Hamilton, hortus is now established as one of the finest gardening stores in the country.
